Charlotte Dalton
I’’m a full time amateur golfer with a handicap of two. I’m crazy about golf and love having the freedom to devote so much time to it.
My life ambition with golf is to become a successful player on the Ladies European Tour and win lots of money!!
I have been playing golf since I was 14 at my home club Ladbrook Park. I have had some great results since I have been playing on the amateur circuit, I reached the semi final of the English Girls Under 18 Championship in 2007, reached the final of the English Ladies Mid Amateur Championship in 2008, I finished a creditable 19th on the English Women’s Order of Merit for 2008 and was runner up the Warwickshire Ladies County Championship in 2008.
My successes so far follow a pattern…. I’m nearly always second!!! One day the success of a champion will come I’m sure, but for that to happen in golf you need patience.
I started with a handicap of 45 and within 12 months I was playing of 21!! If only I had all those shot to play with now! I have worked very hard to achieve what I have but the nice thing with golf is you reap the rewards when you get it right.
Whether it be a golfer trying to break 90 or a golfer trying to get there handicap down to single figures with the right ingredients like lessons, practice, dedication, anything is possible to achieve.
My goal for 2009 will be to work my way into the top 10 of the English Women’s Order of Merit table. I will also be making a trip to Tour School in January 2010, to hopefully gain a full playing card on the Ladies European Tour.
This blog will follow my progress throughout the year…. I’ll keep you updated with what tournaments I’m playing in, how I played, and general golfing news!!
