What’s in my Golf Bag?

Driver -     PING G10 12° - TFC 129 Regular Shaft
One of the most forgiving drivers I have used, its easy to hit and when you really catch it out the middle it goes for miles!!
I fell in love with the G5 model when I tried it for the first time and when you find a club you like its difficult to consider changing…. but with the new technology of the G10 range I decided I’d give it ago. The deeper face of the G10 helps to flight the ball higher, which for me has added more length on my drives. Always a bonus!!

4 Wood -    PING G10 17.5° - ProLaunch V2 Regular Shaft
I have always struggled to find a nice fairway wood that gets the ball up in the air. So I changed my 3 wood with a 4wood to give me a bit more loft and its the best thing I’ve done. Now I have the confidence to hit my fairway wood of any lie. The ProLaunch V2 Shaft I had put in is also designed to help players produce a higher trajectory, with a slightly heavier shaft the weight is in the middle to lower part of the shaft - called the kick point -  this is why the ball travels higher. Making it for me easier to hit of fairways and gives me more confidence!!

19° Rescue -    PING G5 19° - TFC 100 Regular Shaft
22° Rescue -     PING G5 22° - Adela NV Regular Shaft
These clubs are my favourite!! They always do as they are told!! Great of any lie and very easy to hit. I didn’t upgrade to the G10 Model as for me I like the small head of the G5 where as the new G10 is a slightly larger more rounded head.(Like a fairway wood) The technology of the G10 compared to the G5 hasn’t really altered that much in my opinion, it has a variable face thickness allowing a higher ball flight, and different weight poisoning in the head to help increase height and reduce spin. If you like it and your still benefiting from using it then don’t bother changing. That’s my motto!

5-PW -        PING S57 Irons - Standard Lie - AWT Regular Steel Shafts
For me this iron is the most attractive model that PING have ever made. They are fantastic irons and with the built in weighting system they have helped me gain a better ball flight. This allows me to have more control over the type of shot I want to hit. The S57 is an easy club to hit in my opinion, even though its similar to a bladed club. Whatever handicap if you like the look of the PING S57 then give it a try, I’m sure you will be as impressed as i was.

Gap Wedge -    PING Tour W Brushed Chrome - 52°
Sand Wedge -    PING Tour W Brushed Chrome - 56°
Lob Wedge -    PING Tour W Brushed Chrome - 60°
I had the old PING tour wedges, however I always found them very ‘clunky’ and difficult to use. However if you had the old wedges and agree with what I’ve said please don’t let this put you of trying the new PING Tour Wedges. This new Tour Wedge is a completely different feel to the old ones. My short game has really come on since using these as I have more feel for the shot. The machined face and the grooves helps to get more spin on the ball for the tight shots to the pin.

Putter -        PING iWi Craz-e 32”
Putting isn’t a great part of my game but something I’m always working on. I chop and change putters depending on how things are going but I’m a great believer in the fact that its never the putters fault, but sometimes a change can do you good from a mental aspect. I had been using an Odyssey Two Ball White Hot Blade for most of last year, the reason i liked the two ball was because of its easy aliment aid. The two balls and then i added a line down the centre of the balls allowing me to line this up with the line on my ball. This is a great aid for me and if you struggle with alignment its something worth trying. When i went to the PING factory i really liked the weighting of the iWi Craz-e and the shape of the head. It has a built in adjustable weighting system where you can alter the weight of the head to make it heaver or lighter depending on what works best for you. I have always used a ‘mallet’ putter as I find this works best for me. However putting is very personal.

Golf Ball -     Pro V1/x
I used to use the Pro V1, however just recently I started to use the Pro V1x. The Pro V1x is designed for faster swing speeds to gain more length of the tee and to reduce the amount of spin on the greens. Where as the Pro V1 is a softer ball to help players gain more control around the greens. Its just what type of ball suits you best.

Bag -         PING Freestyle - White
Probably not the most sensible colour to have on the golf course during the winter…. but i like to stand out!!
I have always used PING’s lightweight designed carry bags as I’m careful not to strain my back when i carry in the winter. This bag weights less than 5 pounds so its great for Ladies who carry a few clubs in the winter or for any golfer looking for a light weight bag.

Umbrella -    PING Tour Umbrella

Shoes-        Ecco Golf Women’s Ace GTX - Size 5 White/Black/Red
Ecco shoes are fantastic…. I have had 6 pairs and they have never leaked on me or gave me blisters. The Ace GTX is a very reliable shoe in all conditions, this is because of its waterproof Goretex membrane. It comes with a comfort fibre system leather and cambrelle insole designed to add extra comfort while your out on the course. Its heel stabilizer and pre moulded traction bars in the shoe not only give you extra grip but help to keep you stable throughout the shot.

Gloves -     Footjoy Sci-Flex - Ladies Small
Footjoy call themselves the number 1 in golf and as far as golf gloves go i agree! The Sci-flex is a leather glove, its proven that wearing a leather glove benefits the golfer more because it keeps your hand cooler and grips better than a synthetic material glove would. This is because the glove offers a ProDry Moisture Control leather for a dry comfortable performance.

Clothing -     Nike
I love wearing bright colours on the golf course and Nike Golf have a great clothing range for women. Its comfortable, affordable and most important it looks good. I wear lots of other brands to like, Tommy Hilfiger, Oakley, Galvin Green.
